She made a tough, personal choice to give up her career because she felt complicit in abuses against people who look like her. It was smart of the writers to put Jake and Rosa at the center of the episode. Their relationship is among the most nuanced in the series.

Season Eight
In The Good Ones, Kevin was revealed to have separated with Holt sometime in 2020. However, they confessed they still had feelings for each other in The Lake House. After couples therapy, the couple got back together by the end of episode 7, Game of Boyles.
Captain Jason "C.J.” Stentley is appointed captain of the 99th Precinct when Holt gets sent to Florida for witness protection.
We have seen Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) evolve from an emotionless robot to a dad figure for Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) who eventually becomes the son Holt didn't have. Their childish rivalry culminates into an intimate familial relationship that can be deemed stronger than any blood relation.
Ray Holt and Madeline Wuntch are arch-nemeses, although Wuntch seems to have unrequited affections for Holt, despite his sexuality. The two are shown to mock and taunt each other on every available occasion.

The second season finale of Riverdale contained an emotionally-charged kiss between Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) and Moose (Cody Kearsley), as the two characters finally start to lock lips in other places besides darkened forests and riversides.
