We offer many cosmetic dental treatments to beautify your smile. But perhaps none is more versatile than dental veneers in Visalia. Our dentists apply the thin porcelain restorations to the front surfaces of your teeth to improve their shape, size, and color – giving you the smile you’ve always wanted. They can sometimes even be used as an alternative to orthodontic treatment!
In addition to their versatility, porcelain veneers are:
- Strong & Stain Resistant – Because of its durability and stain resistance, the porcelain used for our veneers will look great for many years.
- Beautiful – Porcelain mimics the appearance of natural tooth enamel. So your teeth will look naturally beautiful, not artificial.
- Simple to Maintain – No special care is needed to keep your veneers looking terrific. Simply brush and floss every day and visit us regularly for dental cleanings.
- Minimally Invasive – Our dentists will remove only a tiny amount of enamel from your teeth in preparation for your veneers. Other restorations such as dental crowns require more extensive modification of your teeth.
A free consultation with one of our cosmetic dentists is the best way to determine if veneers are right for your smile. To schedule one, call us today at 559-608-3533. Second opinions are free too!
We’ll Walk You Through Your Cosmetic Treatment Options
At our office you have other options for concealing smile imperfections, including a dental bonding treatment or Snap-On Smile. Our dentists will review several factors with you to determine what’s best, including:
- Condition of Your Smile – Veneers, bonding, and Snap-On Smile can all hide flaws. However, bonding isn’t quite as versatile and works best to correct minor issues.
- Cost – While veneers cost more than bonding or a Snap-On Smile, they are more durable and offer the most natural appearance.
- Longevity – Veneers will last longer than either bonding or a Snap-On Smile, which is temporary. Unlike those two treatments, veneers are not reversible.

Common Questions About Dental Veneers
Can dental veneers be replaced?
Yes, veneers can be replaced. They’ll last for many years before they need replacing, though, because they’re made of durable materials like porcelain. Also, we can sometimes repair minor damage to veneers, such as small chips. Since we remove enamel from your teeth prior to placing veneers, you will need to cover a tooth with a veneer – or another restoration like a crown – if the veneer is removed.
Which dental veneers are the best?
There are many kinds of veneers. We typically use veneers made of porcelain. In addition to offering a beautiful natural-looking appearance, porcelain veneers resist staining and other kinds of damage. Porcelain is also highly durable, so it will look great for years. Our dentists will also customize the color so your veneers will blend in beautifully with the rest of your smile.
How are dental veneers done?
Our dentists work closely with you to select the size, shape, and color of your veneers. We then remove a tiny bit of enamel from your teeth and take dental impressions. They are sent to a lab, which uses them to custom manufacture your veneers. You’ll return to our office for a fitting, and we use a special cement to attach the veneers to your teeth.
Are dental veneers painful?
Dental veneers aren’t painful. Depending on the kinds of veneers, your dentist may need to remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to prepare them for your restorations. Since your enamel doesn’t have nerve endings, there shouldn’t be any discomfort. However, they can numb your mouth with local anesthesia if you’d like.
Can dental insurance cover veneers?
Insurance typically won’t cover veneers if they are used strictly for cosmetic purposes. If veneers are needed to repair damaged teeth and keep them from suffering further damage, it’s possible that insurance may cover part of the cost. We don’t want a lack of finances to keep you from improving your smile. So we accept third-party financing to make your treatment accessible.
